Family Therapy

We all have positive aspirations for our family, and sometimes families need a hand to get back on track.

Families can face many issues – there may be conflict that’s getting out of hand, a problem managing children’s behaviours, teenagers who are running off the rails, disagreements over parenting, feelings of hurt or isolation, or recurring negative patterns that get in the way.

When families ‘blend’ to create step families there can often be extra challenges – as parents it may be difficult to know how to relate to your partners children, there may be divided loyalties, children may resist change.

I will meet with you, discuss the outcomes you are wanting for your family, and help you to make a plan to get to where you want to go. I can draw on a range of approaches to assist you and your family to make the changes that will make a difference.

Where necessary I can also draw on the expertise of my wife, Dr Sarah Hayward who is a Psychologist and an international parenting expert, and we can work together as a team to assist your family with particular parenting problems.
